Documentalista, productora, directora, guionista de cine y TV y promotora cultural. Centro-americana. Orden independencia cultural Rubén Darío. Máxima condecoración que otorga el estado de Nicaragua en el área cultural. Inicia su carrera cinematográfica como actriz, en 1977 en Honduras y posteriormente se incorpora al Instituto Nicaragüense de Cine INCINE en 1979, trabajando como investigadora y productora de más de 50 noticieros y documentales, así como también asistente de dirección y directora de casting en todos los proyectos de corto y largo metraje de ficción en 16 y 35 mm, producidos por INCINE, productora de campo y asistente de dirección en varios proyectos de co producción. Organiza y dirige la oficina de proyectos de INCINE, (1985/1989) instancia que da inicio al rol de la producción ejecutiva en nicaragua, paralelamente produce y dirige sus primeros documentales.

She began her film career as an actress in 1977 in Honduras and later joined the Nicaraguan Film Institute (INCINE) in 1979, working as a researcher and producer on more than 50 newsreels and documentaries, as well as assistant director and casting director on all short and feature-length fiction projects in 16mm and 35mm produced by INCINE. She also served as a field producer and assistant director on several co-production projects. She organized and directed INCINE’s project office (1985-1989), an entity that pioneered the role of executive producer in Nicaragua. Simultaneously, she produced and directed her first documentaries.
