BASES mujerDOC - VIII FESTIVAL INTERNACIONAL DE CINE DOCUMENTAL SOBRE GÉNERO

1. mujerDOC – VIII FESTIVAL INTERNACIONAL DE CINE DOCUMENTAL SOBRE GÉNERO, organizado por la ONG Mujeres del Mundo y el Ayuntamiento de Soria, es una plataforma de exhibición de DOCUMENTALES creado para contribuir a eliminar los estereotipos de género y visibilizar el papel de las mujeres en el desarrollo de las sociedades.

2. Las obras presentadas recogerán temas relacionados con las reivindicaciones por la igualdad y la agenda feminista. Serán documentales producidos a partir del 1 de enero de 2022. No se determina límite máximo ni mínimo de metraje. Deberán estar subtituladas en inglés y en castellano. Si no fuera posible tener la versión con subtítulos en castellano, será requisito enviar la versión con subtítulos en inglés y el listado de diálogos SRT en inglés.

3. La participación en el Festival está abierta a todas las personas, de forma individual o colectiva, sin distinción de nacionalidad, ni residencia. Cada participante puede presentar más de un trabajo, no siendo necesario su carácter inédito y pudiendo haber sido premiadas en otros certámenes. Es imprescindible ser titular de los derechos de exhibición de la película en España.

4. La inscripción se formalizará a través de las plataformas FESTHOME, Filmfreeway y Movibeta.

Con la inscripción es necesario aportar información sobre la película (ficha técnica, país y año de producción, sinopsis) y enlace de descarga permanente, sin fecha de caducidad (para poder ser visionado on line por el Comité de Selección después de la fecha límite de inscripción). Los costes de inscripción que aparecen en las plataformas revertirán en gastos de gestión, exhibición, proyección y difusión del Festival.

5. Los plazos de presentación de películas aparecen en las propias plataformas de inscripción, desde el 1 de julio hasta el 31 de octubre de 2024.

6. El festival se desarrollará en Marzo de 2025 en Soria (España). En caso de que, por circunstancias excepcionales, no pudiera desarrollarse el festival en estas fechas se avisará con suficiente antelación, a través de redes sociales y medios.

7. El festival a través de un Comité seleccionará las películas que formarán parte de una única Sección Oficial, con los siguientes premios:

-    Premio Mujer: 3.000 euros (a este premio optarán las obras en que la directora sea mujer)

-    Premio Largometraje: 2.000 euros (a partir de 60 minutos)

-    Premio Cortometraje: 1.000 euros (hasta 59 minutos)

-    Premio CIMA a la mejor cineasta (estatuilla y un año como socia en la Asociación de Mujeres Cineastas y de Medios Audiovisuales).

8. Cada película seleccionada recibirá 150 euros por la exhibición total en el Festival que cubren un máximo de 4 proyecciones en la sala de Cine en Soria o en ventanas del Festival en otras ciudades del mundo.

9. Las películas seleccionadas deberán enviar una copia en DCP o en versión digital de alta calidad para ser proyectada hasta un máximo de 4 veces en la Sala de cine de Soria o en ventanas de MUJERDOC en otras ciudades del mundo.

10. Las películas seleccionadas además participarán, si lo desean, en la edición online del certamen, a través de la plataforma de cine online Filmin. Las películas se podrán ver en Filmin durante las fechas oficiales del festival. Los beneficios que se obtengan se repartirán como sigue: 60% para los documentales participantes, 40 % para Filmin.



11. Al participar en el festival se autoriza la libre reproducción de imágenes e insertos (máx. 3 minutos) de la película para prensa, publicaciones impresas o digitales, redes sociales, emisiones para televisión...

12. La organización se reserva el derecho de modificar cualquier punto de estas bases si las circunstancias lo requieren, lo que se comunicará oprtunamente.

13. La participación en este Concurso lleva implícito la aceptación de sus bases.

TERMS mujerDOC - VIII INTERNATIONAL DOCUMENTARY FILM FESTIVAL ON GENDER

1.mujerDOC - VIII INTERNATIONAL DOCUMENTARY FILM FESTIVAL ON GENDER, from the NGO Mujeres del Mundo (NGO Women of the World) and Ayuntamiento de Soria (Soria Municipality), is a platform for the exhibition of documentary films created to help eliminate gender stereotypes and make visible the role of women in the development of society.

2. The films to be presented will include topics related to the demands for equality and the feminist agenda. They must be documentaries produced after January 1st, 2022. There is no maximum or minimum limit for runtime. They must be subtitled in English and Spanish. If it is not possible to have the version with Spanish subtitles, it will be a requirement to send the version with english subtitles and the SRT list of dialogues in English.

3. Participation in the Festival is open to all people, individually or collectively, without distinction of nationality or residence. Each participant can present more than one work, it does not matter if it has been published or awarded in other competitions. It is essential to be the owner of the rights to display the film in Spain.

4. Registration will be formalized through the platforms: Festhome, Filmfreeway and Movibeta.

With the registration it is necessary to provide information about the film (technical sheet, country and year of production, synopsis) and permanent download link, without expiration date (so it can be viewed online by the Selection Committee, after the screening registration deadline). The registration costs that appear on the platforms will cover management, exhibition, projection and dissemination expenses of the Festival.

5. The film submission deadlines appear on the registration platforms themselves, from July 1st to October 31st, 2024.

6. The festival will take place in March 2025 in Soria (Spain). If the festival could not take place on these dates, due to exceptional circumstances, it would be announced well in advance, through social networks and media.

7. The festival, through a Committee, will select films to be part of an Official Section, with the following prizes:

- Woman Award: 3,000 euros (for this award, only films in which the director is a woman will be eligible)

- Long Film Award: 2,000 euros (from 60 minutes)

- Short Film Award: 1,000 euros (up to 59 minutes)

- CIMA Award for the best filmmaker (statuette and one year as a member of the Association of Women Filmmakers and Audiovisual Media).

8. Each selected film will receive 150 euros for the total exhibition at the Festival, covering a maximum of 4 screenings in the Cinema in Soria or in Festival windows in other cities around the world.

9. The selected films must send a copy in DCP or in a high-quality digital version to be projected up to a maximum of 4 times in the Soria cinema or in MUJERDOC windows in other cities around the world.

10. The selected films will also participate, if they wish, in the online edition of the contest, through the online cinema platform Filmin. The films can be seen on Filmin during the official festival dates. The benefits obtained will be distributed as follows: 60% for participating documentary films, 40% for Filmin.

11. By participating in the festival, the free reproduction of images and inserts (max. 3 minutes) of the film is authorized for the press, printed or digital publications, social networks, television broadcasts...

12. The organization reserves the right to modify any point of these rules if circumstances require it, which will be communicated promptly.

13. Participation in this contest implies acceptance of its terms.
